Look, Tray! Your Daddy took you to the circus and roller skating (which was one of his favorite things to do!) Later he took "your photo shoot" with Summer (Tray's cousin.)

Learning to Read and Write

This is the original pages from 1981.

Mommy developed a system to teach Tray (and then the other kids) to read the ABC's before he was three. Then he started to read words and she would rewrite small sentences with illustrations from the Bible Story Book. ("Well, my art work leaves something to be desired!" LOL)

She still uses her system to help kids of all ages learn to read or improve on their reading skills.

June 1981 we buy a house

Dad had Brutus and Ruby before I met him. He loved dogs and would train them and raise puppies. The photos below are the house when we bought it and then after Dad changed the windows and plastered the whole outside. (I was his "laborer"!!)

Grandma Wilma raised birds and has one on her head!

Your Daddy loved to fish and he loved photography-- and he was good at both! That is actually MY (mommy's) old camera that we bought used when I started to help Dad out at weddings.

Swimming Lessons--1984 to 1987

Every summer we took you to swimming lessons just as Kathy's parents did for her. During different summers, other kids would go with us also like your cousins and friend Emery.
